Not much needs to be said about what was done on this
one, the first baby picture described had similar problems: tears, stains,
cracks, etc.
The
customer wanted the whole picture. So we needed to fill in the missing
information at the very bottom of the shot. We sampled from cleaner
areas of the babies' chests to eliminate the gray blotches. The picture
amazingly had a good tonal range (fading very little). Therefore, little
had to be done to adjust the contrast.
Finally, to give it a late nineteenth century look, we added a sepia
tone. I like what sepia does to wood and other naturally earth-toned
objects.
